Frozen Barn

As most in the Midwest know, the winter of 2014 was awfully cold and snowy. I didn't let it completely deter me from getting out and about to create some photographs. On one frigid January day, I ventured out to an old barn that I have observed numerous times. It was unique this time, as the field up to it was covered by wind sculpted snow and icicles gave teeth to the barn's roofline. The blowing northwestern wind was cold and I had to retreat to my truck every 10 minutes to try and get warm again, but I was able to capture this old beauty standing against the harsh winter.
