Root Veins

With the river low and the leaves down from the tree, I decided it was time to walk back down by the river. I meandered on the exposed bank and took notice of the roots of the trees. I had never really observed the roots of the trees but the vibrant colors of this particular one had the suggestion of veins supplying nutrients to the trunk above. I loved how their color suggested fall as if the many leaves around it brought the color from above.

Root Veins is the 97th creation in Local Sanctuary.
