Path Keepers

On the eastern perimeter of the prairie preserve is this little creek that trickles through. To cross this slow meandering waterway is this planked foot bridge. Simple yet important, this walkway not only allows a traveler to cross from one side to the other of the creek, but also to stand or sit over the creek and listen to the slow trickle below. But before entering the walkway one must pass through the grasses of the preserve. That is what I like about this piece; these few grasses crisscrossing as if they were guarding the entrance of this little bridge.

Path Keepers is the 95th creation in Local Sanctuary.
