“Mythic Giants”
When I was living in Chicago this past winter, I would often find myself walking down the Roosevelt Street Bridge to head to Grant Park. On this bridge, I was amazed by these little sculptures that were placed upon the columns on the bridge. This particular piece had three prehistoric creatures that walked atop the globe that had emerged from the open pages of a book. I could not help but think how the thundering towers beyond this little sculpture seemed to do the same; growing from the ground as if being risen from the imagination of giants and how this too may seem rather far off and mythical to those that are not in the hustle of the city.
I can’t believe it has been nearly two months since the last post. The festival season is in full swing and the support that continues to flow in is remarkable. Here are a few more events that you can come see the work at and say hello:
