Winter Cast


There is a good bank down by the Mackinaw that is crossable either when the river is low or frozen over (neither on this particular day though.) It's here that I stood on this clear sky winter evening and captured this photograph.  Most of the composition was already in the shadows but on the upper bank the trees were lit by the long rays. I love how the light was cast upon the two trees on the right. They stand proudly illuminated over the bend in the cold Mackinaw below.
