Winter Vines

Today's picture from Local Sanctuary was taken at the north gate of the preserve. The cut fence-post in the foreground is the base wall for these dormant vines. I like how some are vertical while others bend to the side as well as the snow that they have trapped against the post. They also add a little color to the blistery winter day (especially the one on the right). The thinness of these vines contrast with the old oak tree in the left of the background. Look closely and you will also see snow coming across the photograph from right to left. Enjoy!
