Glimmer

I have to admit that I have a soft-spot for dandelions. In my humble opinion, they are often the villainized as the epitome of weeds but their ease of growing and utilization is often overlooked, not to mention their beauty. Anyway, I captured this dandelion while walking in the north side of the preserve. I like how the seed flights are spread out, ready to be taken into the wind like a chimney sweep glider. And the refraction of light through them, how unexpected and beautiful. So no matter your preconceptions of the dandelion and other "weeds," I hope you enjoy this piece.
