Muted Beauty
As spring came to pass and summer began to emerge, I ventured back into the open skies of the prairie preserve. There in the prairie preserve were these thistles. I had seen thistles numerous times in the past but never gave them much notice. With a new outlook, I took my lens off and turned it around, creating a makeshift microscope. I got really close to this thistle and loved how the little thorns stuck out from the side of the delicate flower.
