Golden Grass

In the the northeast corner of the prairie preserve is this singular tree on the slope of the hill set away from the tree line. I'm not sure why, but I've always been fond of this tree (if one is capable of being fond of a tree.) On this particular early spring day, it caught my eye again. I loved its dark barren structure bending into the denseness behind while reaching toward the barren sky above and the base is encapsulated by prairie grass.  I hope you like it too!
