Impression

The melting and refreezing of snow in late winter and early spring makes for some interesting scenes. In this transition period, I always like it when I come across a leaf that makes its imprint, if only for awhile. Such is this photograph. The fall leaf basks in the occasional sunshine and melts the ice underneath it to sink at a faster rate than the snow around it, getting closer and closer to the leaves, twigs and air bubbles that are held within.
